FILM & PANEL: Truth Has A Voice Foundation

October 21, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Truth Has A Voice Foundation continues their film series with this presentation of The Social Dilemma. We live in a changing world in which technology is playing an ever more prominent role. To better understand the impact of social media on the public’s trust in news, government and society in general, as well as the targeted business model behind it, join us for a showing of The Social Dilemma. This will be followed by a panel discussion to focus on the local impacts of social media.

This event is sponsored by Truth Has a Voice Foundation, Colorado Mountain College and Central Colorado Humanists.

ABOUT THE FILM: We tweet, we like, and we share— but what are the consequences of our growing dependence on social media? As digital platforms increasingly become a lifeline to stay connected, Silicon Valley insiders reveal how social media is reprogramming civilization by exposing what’s hiding on the other side of your screen.

Open to the public. Registration for the film and panel event is requested.

For those who choose not to attend in-person, individuals are encouraged to watch the film on their own time but can then join the live theater audience via online stream cast to listen in on the panel discussion. A separate registration for the Panel Only is necessary. Once registered, you will receive a notification 24 hours in advance that will provide you with instructions on how to join the post-film panel online.
