Janine Frazee graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education. She has taught art for the past 23 years.

Janine was a middle school art teacher in Buena Vista, Colorado, from 1994-2000.

In 2000 she accepted an overseas teaching art at North Jakarta International School in Jakarta, Indonesia for two years. While in Indonesia, Janine taught middle school and high school art, while studying the Indonesian culture through art and language.

Upon returning to the United States, Janine accepted a teaching job at Salida High School in Salida, Colorado, where she has been teaching high school art for the past fifteen years.

Janine’s personal work focuses on clay wall hangings using various types of mixed media. Each piece incorporates meditational focal points that represent her love of nature, love of the various outdoor activities found in the Arkansas Valley, and her love of textural design.


Saturday, April 8: Second Saturday Art Reception, 5:00-7:00 pm. Complementary beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Janine’s work will be displayed in the Diesslin Gallery from April 1-April 22, and will move to the Paquette Gallery from April 22-April 30.
