Kent Haruf Literary Celebration
The second Kent Haruf Literary Celebration is honoring the award-winning novelist who lived in Salida until his death in 2014. All proceeds go to the Kent Haruf Scholarship.
Registration begins May 1, 2019 and ENDS Sept. 15, 2019.
Need a place to stay during the Celebration? See the Salida Lodging Guide.
Looking for a restaurant? See the Salida Dining Guide.
This Literary Celebration was established by Kent’s wife, Cathy, and a Committee who wished to host an event that would honor Kent and his work.
We knew Kent as a humble, generous, kind, talented gentleman. He was always interested in the person he was talking to, a trait that led him to develop authentic characters and share lasting friendships.
This Celebration is for listening, learning, creating, sharing, enjoying each others’ company and basking in the joy of remembering and honoring Kent’s words.
We hope you can join us for this literary event!
