About the Musicians
Maestro Miguel Espinoza is an award-winning virtuoso flamenco guitarist/composer described by Guitar Player magazine as “mesmerizing.” Gracefully balancing tradition and innovation, he blends flamenco with Northern Indian percussion, Latin jazz and classical flavors to create an exotic, intoxicating musical elixir–one that is as sonically exciting as it is emotionally moving. His three albums have received critical acclaim—and won fans worldwide.
Andy Skellenger is a professional multi-instrumentalist and drum maker based in Salida, Colorado. He is a classically trained performer and teacher of North India Tabla. He also plays the harp-like instrument from Mali called Kora, drum set, cajon, and a multitude of other percussion instruments from around the world. Andy is a college level clinician. He performs with a variety of ensembles spanning many styles and genres, and also gives solo concerts. Some of the many musicians he has performed alongside include Tabla Maestro Samir Chatterjee, Master of Persian and Azara Classical Music Davood Azad, DJ Cheb i Sabbah, Flamenco guitar maestro Miguel Espinoza, pianist Chuck Lamb, vocalist Beth Quist, violinist Kailin Yong, denver jazz legends Ron Miles and Greg Harris, and sitar maestro Ustad Roshan Bhartiya.
